The Fluke 568 is a two-in-one infrared and contact thermometer combining both measurement methods in a single device. It delivers a wider temperature range than most comparable infrared thermometers while providing advanced features accessible through an intuitive graphical display and menu system.

The device features a simple three-button on-screen menu interface available in seven languages, making complex measurements straightforward. The 50:1 distance-to-spot ratio enables measurement of smaller objects from greater distances.

Key capabilities include easy access to advanced features via soft-key buttons and graphical display. The thermometer captures up to 99 data points for quick downloading to a PC through USB connection and includes FlukeView Forms software for trending and data analysis. It can be powered from a laptop via USB to extend battery life.

Problem identification is simplified through MIN, MAX, AVG, and DIF functions. The device accommodates a wide variety of surfaces with adjustable emissivity and a built-in materials table.
